As a skincare addict myself, I know how important it is to have confidence in the products you’re putting on your face. Being a busy working mum of three gorgeous kids, having a straightforward skincare regime, seeing and feeling results was the foundation of how the Plumped range all began.
I’ve always been interested in health, wellness and beauty, both in work and in life... I have a Pharmacy degree from University of Queensland, an Advanced Certificate in Cosmetic Science and I’m a member of the Australian Society of Cosmetic Chemists... I do my best to keep up to date with all of the exciting new active ingredients coming onto the market, transposing those straight into the Plumped range!
What drew you into the world of skincare?
Coming from a science background and having a personal interest in skincare, it seemed like the natural path to take! I wanted to cater for my customers looking for super potent and super hydrating active ingredients, and so Plumped was born from that. I love the reality of being able to provide my customers with the best and most evidence based skincare; it’s even better when they come back and tell us how amazing their skin is looking and feeling!
What’s your fav way to unwind?
I really enjoy keeping active but love my downtime too ... so a beach run followed by some time in the spa is my best therapy!
What’s your skincare secret?
I absolutely love using our high potency Vitamin B3 serum morning and night to keep my skin blemish free and hydrated.
If you were stuck on an island and could only take 3 things for your skin, what would they be and why?
Needless to say I would take my Vitamin B3 serum to rehydrate and help repair sun damage. Next would be our Surf Zinc to help protect my skin from the hot island sun and of course my Glycolic Acid Wash to cleanse my skin and keep those pores down to size.
A lil’ skincare advice?
Not all skincare products are created equal. Opting for skincare that contains super potent active ingredients is a must, but make sure you're rehydrating your skin effectively, or simply choose products that include hydrating bases in their formula!
What’s the biggest misconception about skincare?
Not all products have enough of an active ingredient to effectively do what they claim to do... if you want to really make a difference to your skin, look for products with maximum medical grade concentrations of actives to produce optimal results in the skin without the need for a doctor’s prescription.
